About Us
9PROOF was founded in 2008 in the city of Milan, Italy, by Federico Simonetti and Lorenzo Rosso who saw that the market for corporate IT was not offered the security solutions it needed. With his background in encryption and data protection, Federico Simonetti developed Wiperaser and BladeBox, offering foolproof solutions for erasing and storing data, and Scrambit, for secure mobile communications through smart phones and PDAs. This has led 9PROOF on a path of rapid growth, with three fully developed products, offices in Europe and the United States and a growing number of major corporate customers.
In today’s business environment, security is increasingly more difficult to maintain. That is why 9PROOF’s development strategy focuses on improved security solutions for data storage, data deletion and mobile communications.
This strategy is driven by two major market developments. First of all, industry standards, regulatory affairs and privacy laws demand strict adherence to rules concerning the secure storage and deletion of data. Secondly, as mobile has overtaken land line as the preferred network for telephone communications, illegal monitoring of mobile calls is a very real and growing problem.
These two developments have already lead to the succesful development of Wiperaser, BladeBox and Scrambit, with many more solutions in the 9PROOF development pipeline.

Lorenzo Rosso, President
Lorenzo Rosso is President and founder of 9PROOF. Born 41 years ago in Milan, Italy, Lorenzo is a serial entrepreneur whose achievements have been publicized globally. His very accomplished and colorful background includes international patents in nutrition and fashion, founding companies for music and sporting event promotion, and building a thriving telecommunications company. Today Lorenzo is focusing his drive and passion on enterprise information security solutions.
Federico Simonetti, Scientific Director
As the company’s founder and Scientific Director, Federico Simonetti leads the design and development of 9PROOF’s software solutions. His expertise: applications for data and communications security and privacy. As a software analyst, designer and professor, he has 16 years experience in encryption, local and network data protection, data erasure, and comprehensive information security.
